*** Frequently Asked Questions, (and their answers!) ***

Q: How much light do these bulbs really put out?

A: About four times more than an incandescent, which means if you have sufficient light with a 100 watt incandescent you will probably be OK with a 23 watt Compact Fluorescent.

Q: What is the "k" rating all about?

A: "k" designates the "Color Temperature" in Degrees Kelvin

The lower color temperature or "k" is a warmer, slightly yellow/white light.

The higher color temperature is a more brilliant appearing blue/white light.

Compact Flourescent bulbs generally range from about 2700k to 6500k.

The general rule of thumb is to use a warm light in living areas, and higher color temperaures in work places especially in places where you need high contrast for detailed jobs.
